Use FirstClass to organize all the details of your event. Create a document listing all the words, and then create individual documents to provide more information about each word, such as pronunciation, origin, part of speech, and sentence usage. Put these documents in a conference and add a calendar outlining coaching sessions and other important dates. Example John Smith is a teacher at Avalon Academy. He is using FirstClass to organize a spelling bee for his grade 7 and 8 classes. 1  He starts by creating a conference called Spelling Bee. 2  In it, he adds a document called Word list, as well as a document for each letter of the alphabet. 3  He adds a calendar and schedules coaching sessions and the spelling bee. He also books the library and a podium, microphone, and computer for the event. 4        He puts the conference in a public place for his grade 7 and 8 students, and then assigns permissions so he is the Controller and students have Reader access.
