Want to keep track of school activities in a central calendar that everyone has access to? Maintain a group calendar to display upcoming events.

The principal of Avalon Academy, Madelyn Fraser, posts school announcements for students, parents, and staff in a conference she created called Daily Announcements. She complements this with a group calendar that tracks school activities.
She creates a School Calendar in the same area where the Daily Announcements conference was created.

Madelyn creates a mail rule to remind staff who post to the Daily Announcements conference to post any events to the School Calendar as well. To set up the mail rule, Madelyn follows these steps:
1 She opens the Daily Announcements conference.
2 She chooses Collaborate > Rules.
3 She clicks New Receive Rule.
4 She fills out the Receive Rule form as shown below.

5 She selects Enabled and clicks Save.
Now, when an Avalon staff member sends a message to the Daily Announcements conference, they will automatically receive a message in their Mailbox reminding them to post events to the School Calendar.
