Create a conference where school staff can post announcements for students and their parents to read. Example Madelyn Fraser, the principal of Avalon Academy, wants to use FirstClass to keep students, parents, and staff updated about school activities. She creates a Daily Announcements conference and places it in a public area. She sets the permissions so staff can contribute to the conference, while students and their parents can only read the items and download attachments. In the Daily Announcements conference, she creates the following: •       an About this conference document outlining what sort of information will be posted •       a Q&A subconference where parents and students can ask questions about the announcements and have them answered by school staff         Note Madelyn changes the permissions for the Q&A conference so students and parents can post messages.
