Summary
Want to get rid of some junk? In need of some furniture or books? Consider setting up a sale or auction conference in your employee area where staff can post items for sale or auction them off to the highest bidder.
Example
The employees at Husky Planes would like a communal place to sell items to fellow coworkers, so they ask their FirstClass administrator to create a conference for this purpose.
The administrator creates a conference called Husky-bay in the staff area. Within the conference he creates subconferences for employees to post their items for auction or sale. This makes navigating and organizing much easier.
Next, the administrator sets permissions for the Husky-bay conference.
He gives himself Controller permissions, gives employees Contributor permissions, and sets All Users to Disallowed.
Note
The entries in the Who field have to be in the correct order because the permissions are carried out sequentially.
Roy Allen wants to post an item for sale, so he does the following:
1 He opens the conference.
2 He clicks Message > New Message Special > Image Message.
3 He types a subject for the message.
4 He highlights the image field by clicking it, then chooses File > Attach and selects the image of the item for sale.
5 He types a description of the item in the message below the image.
